The Dantone Museum

This small museum in Penia, near Canazei, organised by local artist Colombo Dantone, displays the ‘metamorphosis of Val di Fassa’ up until today, highlighting how the boom in tourism has caused significant changes to the way the valley is lived.

Dantone, being a craftsman as well as passionate researcher into historical heirlooms, has discovered and restored a series of tools and utensils from Ladin tradition and the period of the Great War, which can be admired today within his small museum.
