Vie Fixed-aid climbing routes

To tackle the many fixed-aid climbing routes in Val di Fassa, it is necessary to be trained and sufficiently equipped. Beginners or those who do not feel able to tackle the trails alone, the Tita Piaz Guide Mountaineering School and the Ciamorces de Fasha based in Canazei and Campitello, are available for lessons and accompaniment.

Conturina

Depart from Rifugio Contrin along path 606 and climb the valley of the same name to 2400 m. The path deviates to the left towards the Marmolada Crossing. The final stretch is the most difficult and should be tackled with appropriate equipment (rope and  e crampons).

Via Caries - Cima Dente – Sassolungo Group

From the Sella Pass head to Rifugio Carlo Valentini and aim towards the south-east corner of Punta Grohmann, from there head down towards Val Duron to reach the base of the wall from where the tricky fixed-aid climbing route begins.

Via Diamante

This fixed-aid climbing route departs from Val di Fassa and ascends the Sella Pass and then the Gardena Pass. Shortly after the Sella del Culac, the road passes underneath the northern wall of Meisules. Park here and climb the scree to reach the beginning of the climbing route.

The Marmolada climbing route: Pian dei Fiacconi - Punta Penia

A difficult route that departs from the Pian dei Fiacconi lift along path 606 to the Marmolada crossing where the Marmolada route begins. The route continues to Punta Penia.
