Dolostone

The geological name is Dolostone and it is a sedimentary carbonate rock mainly consisting of the mineral dolomite, which developed during the Triassic period.

It is characterised by a colouration that changes from white to beige to pale grey to pink and despite being extremely resistant to atmospheric agents, is not very plastic, hence the reason why the Dolomites are very uneven with many needles and prongs.
